Oh life…
I was working and minding my own business (like I normally do) when I felt every hair on my body stand up. I received the coldest of chills and noticed that something around me was very very wrong. I told myself I had to look around and see what it was. A woman in about late thirties was walking around the store. My stomach sunk and I felt the worst vibe I had felt in quite some time from her. Intrigued and terrified I asked her if she needed help and she asked me a few basic questions and my guard slowly dropped a bit. She was walking about the small store as if she was there for some other reason, wasting time maybe, stalling for something, but I still felt extremely uneasy. All the while customers are milling about, yet she couldn’t blend in, she stood out. I made sure I was the one at the register to check her out. When she was all set I finally said “have a good day” and she said “I.. learned something… today…” I asked “Oh? What did you learn?” and she was already walking away and said “Oh…Life…” and trailed off. It wasn’t so much what she said more a how she said it… I felt like I was watching someone walk on earth for the first time.. eyes darting about. Could have been drugs, could have been my overactive imagination, but I felt sick to my stomach until she left the store. You meet some random people, but never anyone who gave me an instant stomach ache.
